Psychotherapy Services
At Nuummite Psychotherapy, we offer a diverse range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Our approach is integrative, blending evidence-based practices with compassionate care to support emotional, mental, and relational well-being. All ages, 7+.
Individual Therapy:
Our one-on-one sessions provide a safe and confidential space for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, we support personal growth, stress reduction, emotional regulation, and the development of coping strategies.
Family Therapy:
Family dynamics play a significant role in mental health and overall well-being. Through structured sessions, we help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen connections. Our family therapy incorporates systemic approaches to address patterns and promote healthier, supportive relationships.
Couples Therapy:
Whether couples are navigating conflict, communication challenges, or life transitions, we provide guidance to enhance understanding, intimacy, and collaboration. Using approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-Informed Techniques, we help couples build stronger, lasting partnerships.
Children & Adolescent Therapy:
We provide age-appropriate support for children and teens facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. Utilizing play therapy, expressive therapies, and CBT techniques tailored to younger clients, we empower them to process emotions, build resilience, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.
Mindfulness & Somatic Practices:
To complement talk therapy, we integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic exercises to help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate stress, and cultivate self-awareness. These practices are beneficial across all age groups and therapeutic needs, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our sessions.
Group & Community Support:
Occasionally, we offer group therapy and workshops focusing on topics like stress management, emotional regulation, and grief processing. These settings provide a sense of community, shared learning, and peer support while practicing therapeutic skills in a guided environment.
Our commitment is to provide a flexible, individualized approach, ensuring every client receives the tools and guidance they need to thrive.

Our Modalities
EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is used to help clients process and resolve distressing memories that continue to impact present-day functioning. Through guided bilateral stimulation, clients can safely revisit and reprocess traumatic experiences without becoming overwhelmed. This approach supports the brain in naturally healing and integrating past events. At Nuummite Psychotherapy, EMDR is offered in a paced, client-centered manner to ensure emotional safety and stability.
Reunification Therapy
Reunification therapy focuses on repairing and rebuilding relationships between family members, often in high-conflict or estranged dynamics. The process emphasizes safety, communication, and gradual reconnection through structured sessions. Clients are supported in expressing emotions, setting boundaries, and developing mutual understanding. This modality is especially helpful in strengthening parent-child relationships and restoring trust.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and prioritizes safety, empowerment, and choice in the therapeutic process. Sessions are guided by an understanding of how trauma affects the nervous system, behavior, and relationships. Clients are supported in building regulation skills and reclaiming a sense of control. The approach ensures that care is sensitive, non-retraumatizing, and rooted in compassion.
Evidence-Based Therapy
Evidence-based therapy integrates approaches that are supported by research and proven effectiveness. Interventions are tailored to each client while drawing from scientifically validated methods. This ensures that clients receive care that is both reliable and outcome-focused. At Nuummite Psychotherapy, evidence-based practices are blended with a personalized, holistic lens.
Psychosomatic Therapy
Psychosomatic therapy explores the connection between the mind and body, recognizing how emotional experiences can manifest physically. Clients learn to tune into bodily sensations and understand how stress, trauma, and emotions are stored in the body. Techniques such as breathwork, grounding, and body awareness are used to promote healing. This modality supports regulation and deeper self-awareness.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on uncovering unconscious patterns, early life experiences, and relational dynamics that influence present behavior. Through exploration of thoughts, feelings, and past relationships, clients gain insight into recurring challenges. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space for understanding and growth. This approach helps foster long-term emotional change and self-awareness.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. By restructuring negative thinking, clients can develop healthier coping strategies and improve emotional regulation. The approach is structured, goal-oriented, and practical. Clients leave sessions with tools they can apply in everyday life.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT combines cognitive strategies with mindfulness and acceptance-based techniques. It is especially effective for individuals struggling with emotional intensity, distress tolerance, and interpersonal challenges. Clients learn skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This modality supports balance between acceptance and change.
Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
Spiritually integrated psychotherapy incorporates a client’s spiritual or existential beliefs into the therapeutic process when appropriate. It provides space to explore meaning, purpose, and connection beyond the self. This approach respects diverse belief systems and uses spirituality as a source of strength and healing. Clients are supported in aligning their inner values with their lived experiences.
Integrated Psychotherapy (Holistic & Psychospiritual)
Integrated psychotherapy at Nuummite Psychotherapy blends evidence-based approaches with holistic and psychospiritual practices to support the full mind-body-spirit connection. Sessions may incorporate bilateral stimulation, mindfulness, and MCBT-informed strategies to support regulation, alongside deeper identity exploration and meaning-making work. Modalities such as crystal healing, chromotherapy, and divination are gently integrated when aligned with the client’s beliefs to enhance insight and connection. This approach allows clients to explore both psychological and spiritual dimensions of their experiences in a grounded, non-pathologizing way.
Grief, Death & End-of-Life Care (Psychospiritual Focus)
This modality focuses on supporting individuals navigating grief, loss, and the emotional and existential realities of death and end-of-life transitions. Therapy provides a compassionate space to process complex emotions while exploring meaning, legacy, and connection beyond physical existence. A combination of mindfulness, regulation skills, and spiritually integrated practices are used to help clients move through grief with support and dignity. The work honors both psychological healing and supernatural or transcendent experiences, allowing clients to make sense of loss in a way that feels deeply personal and spiritually aligned.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy focuses on helping clients build present-moment awareness and a deeper connection to their internal experiences without judgment. Through practices such as breathwork, grounding, and body awareness, clients learn to regulate their nervous system and respond to stress with greater intention. This approach is often integrated with MCBT and other evidence-based techniques to support emotional balance and cognitive clarity. Over time, mindfulness supports increased self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to navigate thoughts and emotions with greater ease.
